Right2Refuge is a non profit organization that looks to create a change in the world while providing utmost transparency. Our promise is that 100% of the donations we receive will be distributed to refugees in need as well as operational expenses within the organization itself.
Personal
My name is Salmaan Yosafi. The idea for Right2Refuge was inspired by a trip I took to Istanbul in the Spring of 2015 in where I saw first hand the helpless living conditions of refugees fleeing from Syria. One very personal experience that struck me most was when I saw a shirtless, young Syrian boy of about 9 years of age hurled up in a small alleyway clinging onto the hands of his younger sister in below freezing temperatures. On another occasion, I witnessed two boys who looked to be in their pre-teen years physically fighting each other over food that had been thrown away by a tourist. Our organization was created based on the belief that for too long the world has remained silent about the horrible situation refugees are living in. Currently, the majority of refugees survive by living in the streets of eastern European countries in conditions similar to the homeless. By founding Right2Refuge, we seek to take action and return to our humanitarian values of helping those most vulnerable.
